Everyone looks forward to summer! Warmer days, relaxed daily routines, and more time to spend with family and friends make summer wonderful. At Stanley Clark, we enjoy and support all things “summer” with our carefully considered summer programming for students in grades 7-11 that offers: renowned faculty, state-of-the-art curriculum, outstanding facilities, all while having fun with friends and learning in ways that enhance the joys of summer.

Chamber Music (Grades 1-4)

Join the fun and play with friends! Back-to-school strings will improve your techniques, note reading, and ensemble skills, and you'll earn fun new pieces while getting ready for the next school year. Campers will play in the beautiful Smith Performing Arts Center on campus. 

Basketball Skills and Development

This camp is designed for athletes who are ready to enhance their skills and deepen their understanding of the game in preparation for higher levels of competition. Camp will focus on advanced individual fundamentals, offensive and defensive concepts, skill refinement, agility, conditioning, game strategy, and live game situations. Training will emphasize decision-making, pace, spacing, and executing under pressure. Preparing athletes not just to practice well, but to perform confidently in competition. Campers will be divided by age groups on different courts with additional coaches. Campers will also hear from special basketball guest speakers and a mindset coach, Spencer Ballinger from Compete Training Academy, who will share tools for focus, resilience, confidence, and competitive preparation. Each camper receives a uniquely designed tech shirt and a photo from this one-of-a-kind camp.

Led by Coach Quron Marks, a Stanley Clark Alumni Class of ’10 and Assistant Coach for the Saint Scholastica Men’s Basketball program in Minnesota, athletes will benefit from a coach who has competed at the collegiate level and coached at both the high school and college ranks, including Kentucky State University and South Bend Riley High School. Coach Marks is excited to be returning after last year’s camp. He is planning on developing the player and preparing each athlete for the next step in his fun, signature style!

Get ready to explore the Arab world and become your family’s official travel helper! Campers will learn basic Arabic travel words and phrases, discover geography, landmarks, and everyday life across different countries, and practice skills that could help their parents navigate a trip. Through games, maps, and hands-on activities, curiosity leads the way as young explorers build confidence and global awareness. A field trip to a local restaurant may also be included so students (and parents) can enjoy some authentic Arab food, drinks, and conversation.

Boho Chic & Vintage Design

Campers will become junior designers as they reimagine their personal space with handmade décor, creative wall hangings, and an exploration of design across different eras. Using unexpected materials such as cardboard, mixed media, and upcycled finds, students will build custom pieces while exploring how colors and textures shape mood and style. From concept boards to finished creations, this camp blends creativity, design skills, and a background knowledge of how design has changed across different decades. Miss Maggie will help your camper enhance their personal style, whether it’s vintage or modern. Your camper will find their niche.

In this high-energy culinary camp, campers will level up their cooking abilities with bold flavors, creative flair, and chef-worthy techniques. They’ll sauté, simmer, whisk, roast, bake, and plate exciting dishes while learning knife skills, seasoning secrets, and the art of building a balanced menu. From kitchen confidence to delicious presentation, every day blends hands-on skill-building with fun, flavorful exploration. Ingredients fee: $50

Crime Scene Investigators

From Locard’s exchange principle to DNA testing, fingerprints, and fiber analysis, come perform crime lab and crime scene techniques. Learn some basic biology, chemistry, and physics as a foundation for understanding these techniques. We will discuss how real-life crime scene investigators use these techniques and others to help solve crimes. Mock crime scenes will test your skills as you reconstruct what happened during a particular crime based on the evidence you find and analyze. No prior knowledge is necessary, just curiosity and a love of science.

Deep Dive - Cricut™ Designers

Learn how to design with SVG files to create your own custom items! Cut and apply vinyl to t-shirts, bags, and water bottles, and use sublimation to apply designs to mugs. Apply stencils to glass and wood for etching and wood burning, respectively, and engrave an acrylic LED sign. All completed projects will be based on camper interest and time. Materials fee: $40

Do Good Crew

Campers will turn compassion into action by learning the value of service. Campers will brainstorm ways to make a positive impact in their homes, schools, communities, and beyond! We’ll take note of how important it is to recognize a need and do our best to fill it, not only for the people on the receiving end but also for building our own character. We’ll potentially volunteer at places like the local library, food shelters, or other service organizations, learning firsthand how small efforts create big impact. Along the way, students will discover the powerful sense of pride, purpose, and gratitude that comes from giving back and making a real difference, even if it is just one small act of kindness a day.

Exploratory German

Learning different languages makes it easy to understand people and cultures. This camp is designed for German beginners, intermediates, or those who love the culture! Through games, puzzles, projects, movie excerpts, and songs, campers will develop basic conversational skills sufficient to travel as tourists to Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein. A field trip to Moser's Café in New Carlisle may also be included so students (and parents) can enjoy some authentic German and Austrian food, drinks, and conversation. The adventure awaits! This camp receives an additional German t-shirt. Please sign up early to have your name added. Materials fee: $15

Exploratory Italian

Interested in making movies? Learn the basics and beyond in a camp that encourages creativity and collaboration. Explore filmmaking concepts and techniques with iPad and iMovie. Fun group and individual exercises will be practiced. Foley and sound editing will be introduced. The final films will be presented in Smith Hall at the end of the week. Field trip to the Debartolo Arts Center included. All levels of experience are welcome!

Discover how science shows up in the kitchen, the workshop, and beyond in this hands-on exploration camp! Each day brings something new. Campers will design with a Cricut™, build and launch a model rocket, construct a working wooden clock, create soap and candles through chemical reactions, and churn ice cream while uncovering the science of heat, motion, reactions, and states of matter. With experiments you can see, smell, build, and taste, this camp turns everyday activities into exciting scientific discoveries.

Let’s build together using wood! Explore building projects as a pencil holder, a tic-tac-toe game, a tool tote, plus whatever time and your imagination permit. Learn the basics of wood joining, building, and the meaning behind the lifelong lesson “measure twice, cut once.” Campers will take home all projects. Materials fee: $30

The excitement around musicals like Wicked and K-Pop Demon Hunters proves the stage is more alive than ever! Join professional singing actor Ian Michael for an immersive musical theatre experience that blends acting and vocal performance throughout the day, with individualized coaching to help each performer grow in confidence, technique, and stage presence. Campers will develop solo material, collaborate on ensemble work including “Seasons of Love” from Rent, and showcase their unique talents in a culminating cabaret performance that celebrates personal expression and the power of live theatre.

Bio: Ian Micheal (he/him) is a versatile singing actor who resides in South Bend, IN. An Indianapolis native, Ian has performed as a soloist in various concerts throughout Northern Indiana, including Handel’s Messiah, the Mozart Requiem, and Shawn E. Okpebholo’s Songs in Flight. He is also a 2022, 2023, and 2025 finalist of the Lotte Lenya Competition, and won the “Outstanding Performance of a Lenya Competition Songbook Selection” prize in 2024. Ian Michael is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a BMA in Voice Performance and a Bachelor of Theatre Arts.  In addition to performing, he has a passion for education and community outreach. He is currently the chair of the Community Engagement and Education committee for South Bend Lyric Opera and the owner of the Ian Michael Vocal Studio.

Get ready to fold, create, and have fun with paper! In this camp, kids will learn cool origami designs and build their skills step by step as they go. From simple shapes to more detailed creations, campers will stretch their creativity, practice focus and patience, and feel proud of what they make. Each session is hands-on and fun, helping kids grow their confidence while turning paper into amazing works of art!

Find your voice through outdoor challenges in this fun-filled strategic camp. Campers will explore a variety of challenges through games, the wood walk, or low ropes on our beautiful campus. Activities will be determined based on enrollment. Explore growth mindset and problem-solving concepts through interactive exercises as campers are empowered to find their own voice. On Friday, experience an Escape Room to practice your new skills. Don't miss your chance to build confidence and have fun!

Bring a partner your age for extra fun as we play both on campus and head off for an exciting pickleball field trip experience.

Let’s go to an island and drink smoothies! Experience the unique sound of the steel drum and learn the history of the pan from Trinidad. Mr. Hornor guides you through the sounds and compares them with various drums in this fun-filled week. Not everyone can learn the steel drum, but you can! Participate in an end-of-week performance on Friday and explore new smoothies and techniques each day.

Survivor: Tribes, Science, and Fun

Your ship has crashed! You are now in a tribe discovering how to survive using logic and science while having fun! Join Mrs. Kurnyak in this simulation, where you compete through fun games while diving into science exploration. Work with the members of your tribe to design all the elements of your village, including a flag and handshake. Then, you and your team will compete in immunity challenges that utilize your physical strength, endurance, ingenuity, and scientific mind. You're "on target" to have a great time in this camp!

Vex IQ Robotics Explore

Expand your robotics skills or explore new frontiers in this hands-on STEM camp! Whether you're building on your VEX robotics knowledge or just starting out, this camp is designed for all skill levels. Work in teams to design, build, and test robots, while focusing on design strategies and game tactics to finish strong in competitions. Campers will dive into coding, learn about gear ratios, and explore key robotics concepts that will spark their creativity and problem-solving skills. With a fun and supportive environment, this camp is the perfect way to take your skills to the next level while having a blast!
