Welcome from the Head of School

Welcome to The Stanley Clark School! As you enter our doors, we hope you'll notice what we call "the Stanley Clark difference" - a school rooted and rich with history and tradition while also growing toward the future. Whether through our all-inclusive athletic programs, broad fine arts offerings, or enriching lessons in the classroom, students have the opportunity to develop individual passions and strengths.

Walk the halls or peek into classrooms, and the joy and curiosity are palpable. Our world-class faculty deliver a carefully designed curriculum that meets our students where they are while challenging them to take their learning beyond the school walls and connect it to the world around them.

Our youngest Clark students are immersed in a Reggio-inspired learning environment, where the classroom and materials around them become another teacher, guiding their learning. The beautiful facilities that allow the Reggio philosophy to thrive are often visited by peer schools and set the standard in the Midwest for a Reggio-inspired education.

Character education and leadership development are a hallmark of our programming. These vital skills provide the foundation for students during their time at Stanley Clark, and certainly beyond 8th grade, as they represent our more than 2,000 Clark Alumni base worldwide.

Our mission statement recaps it best; "to inspire and challenge students to achieve excellence in academics, the arts, athletics, and character in a nurturing environment that fosters critical thinking, creativity, accountability to self and others, and the discovery of each student's strengths and passions."
