Class of 2021 Personal Memoir: Paige
Paige, Class of 2021
Paige

When I arrived at Stanley Clark in fourth grade I wasn't sure what to expect. There were about 26 kids in my whole grade, which was definitely a change because I was used to 60 or more kids. I did know two people in my grade, but both ended up being in the other class. I thought it would be similar to my old schools, with girls on one side, boys on the other, and a group of girls splitting up from the others. However, I quickly realized how different it was. We all sat together and talked to everyone.

At my old schools, I didn't know anything about a lot of the people in my grade, but when I came here I felt like I knew everyone by the end of the first day. Each year my connections become stronger and it feels like I have known them my whole life. I feel that many people don't get to experience this as we do at Stanley Clark. Here we are all like family.

Now that I am in eighth grade, I can reflect on everything I've accomplished and learned here, such as participating in after-school activities like sports, Speech Team, and plays, or continuing to grow my leadership skills through Student Ambassadors, preschool drop-off duty, and helping teachers during summer camps. I can also look back at all the memories and fun times that Stanley Clark has provided. One of the most memorable things is the opportunity to go on an overnight field trip every year in middle school. Being able to spend time away from campus with my class and teachers adds to the close-knit community feeling that I love about SCS.

Finally, I cannot imagine what my school experience would be like without my teachers, coaches, advisors, and administrators. Each and every one of them always supports and helps me. They know how to cheer up the class and give everyone a good laugh. Many of them convey their love for teaching the subject and push us to our full potential. I appreciate them so much and their ability to make me the best student I can be.

All of these experiences and friendships have impacted my life greatly and I appreciate all of my teachers, coaches, and friends. They have led me to try new things and have amazing life experiences. So, for that, I say thank you.
