Meet Anna

She started at SCS in preschool 3’s and enjoys both the arts and athletic sides of Clark. She’s participated in cross country, soccer, and basketball every year throughout middle school and has done Speech Team for four years. “I did prose for two years, poetry last year and drama this year, which was my favorite.” She’s also been in the play each year and loved acting in “The Point” … “I was a bee. It was the BEST play.” In addition, she’s done Science Olympiad for three years. Outside of Clark, she enjoys cheerleading at Indiana Ultimate.

Future Career Ambitions

“I want to be a nurse because I want to care for people.”

Favorite Field Trip

“I love going on team bonding field trips like the one we went to at Firefly Farm. It’s fun being with friends and getting to know each other better. I also really loved the field trips we took in preschool with Mrs. Barber to the pumpkin patch and farms.”

How Anna Describes Clark

“Clark is a small community with lots of great opportunities to be a leader. Clark is a great school and I'm very fortunate to be here. It is very welcoming and always makes you happy.”

“I love being with my friends and being in a community where everything is accepted.”

Favorite Class Project

“I liked Invention Alley in 5th grade. I studied Alexander Graham Bell who invented the telephone. I liked dressing up and presenting.”

How She’s Grown at Clark

“I've been at Clark for a long time and have grown a lot here. I've had many different friends and have now found my true friends.”

Favorite Teacher

“One of my favorite teachers is Mr. Hunter because he is funny and nice and makes his classes fun. I do cross country with him and he always encourages me. I also really love Mrs. Grove, the Head of Middle School, because she is always smiling and very nice. She always helps me feel better when I'm sad and she cares a lot.”

What Makes Clark Special?

“I think the people at Clark make it special. All of the teachers and friends smiling when you walk through the door…”
